Established in 1996 as the first ophthalmic-specific ambulatory surgery center in Northwest Arkansas, the Boozman-Hof Eye Surgery and Laser Center continues to meet and exceed all hospital surgical standards.

In 1999, Boozman-Hof became one of only four Allergan Centers of Excellence nationwide. Allergan is the second-largest eye care company in the world. To be named an Allergan Center of Excellence, an eye care center must be on the cutting edge of industry technology and have its own surgical center with surgeons and staff who offer top qualifications and a superior surgical facility in every single way.

Staff Training

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is offered annually and monthly educational and ongoing state and federal in-service training is conducted to promote quality of care along with safety to patients and employees. Our staff regularly attends national ophthalmic-specific meetings, including American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses, Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society, Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society, American College of Eye Surgeons, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Quality Control

The Boozman-Hof Eye Surgery & Laser Center has an extensive Quality Assurance Program that monitors multiple aspects of patient care, including Patient Satisfaction, Preventing Endophthalmitis, Length of Stay,  and Overall Function of Facility. Approximately 90% of the 2,700 patients who responded to Patient Satisfaction Surveys from this past year said they were "More than Satisfied" with services received at the surgery center.
